You could Study Engineering With Your Grade 9 Certificate At False Bay TVET College



The education and learning landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is for the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school product is not the only productive means of studying. Their NCV programmes are created for students who would like to commence their journey toward a satisfying job early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, about their range of courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are offered at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-year period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Prerequisites

These programs start off at NCV level click here 2 as well as bare minimum requirement would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Mathematics.

Once the student finishes NCVLevel two, they would then have attained a grade ten certificate. NCV Level 3 would be grade eleven and NCV Level 4 is grade 12.

NCV Level four is at the exit level, remaining equivalent to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade nine is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV degree two that is equivalent to an NQF level two.

On which type of students are suited for these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that traditional schooling isn't necessarily the only means of getting an artisan or becoming capable therefore if a student knows from an early age what their interests are, the NCV programme is actually perfectly fitted to that student.

False Bay TVET College will assist the student to become qualified in his field of interest. Students who want to become entrepreneurs will also have access to their Centre of Entrepreneurship on the Westlake Campus.
